How to Play Rummy
- Each Rummy game player gets 13 cards at the start of the game. (One card pack is used for 2 players, and two card packs are used for up to 6 players.)
- Players take turns drawing and discarding cards from an open stockpile on the table. The round ends when a player melds or matches all their cards in sequences that follow the rules and guidelines of online rummy. These can be pure sequences, impure sequences, or a rummy set.
Valid Rummy Sequences
- Pure Sequence: Sequences that do not use any Jokers. All cards in the sequence are from the same suit and must be in ascending or descending order.
- Impure Sequence: Sets with ascending or descending sequences of cards from the same suit, but with the inclusion of a Joker.
- Rummy Set: A set containing 3 to 4 cards of the same value but from different suits. These sets can include a Joker or not, and they will still be considered valid rummy sets.
